Construction of 234 Major Projects Commences in Changsha

On March 29, centralized commencement ceremonies for Hunan’s second batch of major projects in 2024 were held in the Changsha Comprehensive Production Base of Hisense, located at the Ningxiang National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changsha.

There are 234 projects in Changsha with an estimated total investment of 101.6 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 36.6 billion yuan, accounting for 15.2% and 18.7% of the total investment of Hunan, both of which topped the whole province.

Changsha Comprehensive Production Base of Hisense, the main venue for the ceremonies, has an area of 1022 mu (about 68.13 hectares) with a total investment of 10 billion yuan. It will be constructed in two phases and mainly produce smart air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and kitchen appliances. What’s more, it will become a model factory of intelligent manufacturing in the global home appliance industry in the future.
