Two Changsha zones enter China's top 100 specialized and sophisticated high-tech zone ranking

Beijing Shangqi Digital Technology Co., Ltd. has recently released a list of China's top 100 high-tech zones, known for their utilization of special and sophisticated technologies to create novel and unique products. Eight zones from Hunan Province were shortlisted, ranking fourth nationwide.

The ranking targeted 178 national high-tech zones, covering national "little giant" enterprises or provincial companies using special and sophisticated technologies to create novel and unique products that have registered with the local high-tech zones. The deadline for this ranking was December 31, 2023. 

The eight high-tech zones from Hunan were: Zhuzhou High-tech Zone, Changsha High-tech Zone,Ningxiang High-tech Zone,Xiangtan High-tech Zone, Yiyang High-tech Zone, Chenzhou High-tech Zone, Changde High-tech Zone, and Huaihua High-tech Zone. In particular, Zhuzhou High-tech Zone ranked 28th, playing a leading role in the province.

Hunan has a large quantity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with flexible operations and swift market response. These enterprises play a vital role in driving the province's economic growth. In recent years, Hunan has fostered a batch of high-quality firms with innovative capacities and achievements. The SMEs' focus is on being niche-sector leaders. 

Hunan's specialized and sophisticated enterprises are mainly engaged in advanced manufacturing industry, including "4 × 4" modern industrial system, strategic emerging industries, five bases of industries (core basic parts or components, key basic materials, advanced basic technology, industrial technology base, and basic software), and new infrastructure. So far, Hunan has cultivated 496 national "little giant" enterprises and 3,702 provincial SMEs that specialize in niche sectors.
