Hunan brands witness rapid progress
It was learned from the 2024 Exposition on China Brand that Hunan has devoted great energy to promoting brand system building in recent years. An array of internationally and domestically renowned high-quality Hunan products have emerged in such areas as advanced manufacturing, cultural creativity, life consumption, and regional development. The province's brand development has achieved positive results.
Hunan brand value continues to rise. According to the "2023 World's 500 Most Influential Brands" report released by the World Brand Lab, eight enterprises from Hunan made the list, contributing to a combined brand value of about 440 billion yuan. Hunan retained two China Quality Awards and received eight China Quality Nomination Awards in 2023.
Brand building helps unleash vitality, which keeps boosting the comprehensive strength of enterprises. The number of provincial 100-billion-yuan enterprises and 10-billion-yuan enterprises reached four and fifty respectively. The Hunan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. was shortlisted for the Fortune Global 500 while the Sany Group ranked among the Forbes Top 500 Enterprises. Lens Technology, Zoomlion Heavy Industry, and four other Hunan enterprises were among the 2023 Fortune China Top 500 Enterprises list. Hunan Yuneng New Energy Battery Material, Bank of Changsha, and TRS Group broke into the list for the first time.
Meanwhile, the brand clusters have accelerated construction. Hunan has 4 national industrial clusters of construction machinery, rail transit equipment, small and medium-sized aircraft engines, and new-generation autonomic secure computing system, ranking third in China and topping the central regions. It has fostered four strategic emerging industrial clusters, including Changsha intelligent manufacturing equipment and Loudi advanced structural materials. The province has also boasted twelve national industrial clusters such as the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) new energy vehicles, Changsha audio-video, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Yueyang satellite application (Beidou), and CZT third-generation semiconductor.
